Food Storage - Wendy DeWitt
I think this is a great video on food storage. My mom wanted to see this video so I am sharing it with all so she has easy access. Hope you enjoy it.
Wendy has written two books Everything Under the Sun and Everything Made Simple. They are food storage plans for a year. A 'how to' in a simple manner. So if you would like to do food storage this is a simple way to get started.
I am not LDS but they have some great information regarding food storage and they are generous to share this information with all. I thank Wendy DeWitt for sharing her knowledge and books free of charge.
My mom also had some questions about a gamma seal lid. I use these on my flour and rice because they are easy access.

ReplyDeleteI do not have a years supply.. I have food stocked up [and have done this for several years... trying to save money.ha]
but my husband is fixing to be on his retirement, and our money will reduce a good bit..[eeeh]. So, I have been trying to stock up even more, to help in the time that we will have to wait upon the changes. I have been following The prudent homemaker blog and it has really helped..
but this information is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing.

I do have a few gamma seal lids - Our Wal-mart carries them but you can purchase them online too. If you store flour or rice in a 5 gallon bucket they make for easy access verses prying off the lid.
